WELCOME TO THE HOPE PROGRAM!
The SRJC HOPE (Health Occupation Preparation Education) Program is dedicated to advancing the success of underrepresented and first-generation students pursuing health care careers. We foster a sense of belonging by expanding diversity, equity, and inclusion in healthcare education through mentorship, workforce development, academic support and social emotional well-being. We empower students to become leaders who positively impact their communities.
- Eligibility
Students who meet the following criteria are classified as HOPE students
First-generation students

Students are classified as first-generation if neither parent has earned a bachelor’s degree or higher.
AND
Qualify for financial aid

This includes receiving tuition aid and/or fee waivers.

The HOPE Program may also provide individualized counseling for personal, career, and academic information, activities, and instruction designed to acquaint students with career options; exposure to cultural events and academic programs not usually available; mentoring programs.
