Pre-NURSE Pathway

Supporting students on their path from pre-nursing to nursing

Program UPDATE (June 2026)

Dear SRJC Pre-Nursing & Interested Students: The Pre- Nurse Pathway (PNP) has officially concluded as of June 2026. While we are heartbroken that the PNP will not continue due to funding not being renewed, we are grateful to have supported over 530 students over the past year since our launch in August 2025.

For continued support, we encourage you to connect with and apply to SRJC the HOPE Program, which offers free academic resources, community, and mentorship. Most of the work and resources created by AVANZANDO and PNP will be transitioned to HOPE over Summer/Fall 2026.

Program Description

The Pre-NURSE Pathway is a Strong Workforce Program grant initiative in partnership with the HOPE and Avanzando programs at Santa Rosa Junior College. This program was created to support pre-nursing students, especially those who are first-generation, underrepresented, and navigating the pathway into nursing.

Our goal is to provide the resources, guidance, and encouragement students need to successfully complete their Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) prerequisites, prepare for the TEAS exam, and feel more confident navigating the nursing application process.

Through community, practical support, and student-centered programming, Pre-NURSE Pathway helps students build confidence and move forward in their healthcare journey.
