Jassel Dolores (she/her/ella) is one of the HOPE Program’s Student Success Specialist. She is the oldest daughter of immigrant parents and is a 1st generation student. She graduated high school in 2017 and began attend the Santa Rosa Junior College since then as a nursing major. During her summer breaks, Jassel would work in the vineyards and while attending school she worked as a cashier in a small market in her hometown of Geyserville. In 2019, she become a student employee for the Career Hub here at the Santa Rosa Junior College and she worked there until the summer of 2022 when she applied and got hired for the HOPE Center as a Student Success Specialist.
While attending the Santa Rosa Junior College, Jassel was also an EOPS student and a 10,000 degree’s student. During the 2020 pandemic, Jassel was ready for a change from her usual summer’s working in the vineyards and instead enrolled in the Certified Nursing Program at the Santa Rosa Junior College. She would go on to complete the program and pass her state licensure exam to secure her license in October of 2020. In March of 2021, she would be hired by Petaluma Post-Acute Rehab as an on-call certified nursing assistant and remains with them to this day.
In Spring 2022 she would go on to complete all her nursing pre-requisites and concurrently be awarded her Associates Degree in Pre-Allied Health, Natural Sciences and Social and Behavioral Sciences. She is currently applying to nursing programs and hoping to get into a nursing program when the time is right. 
Jassel's achievements reflect her commitment to her education and her desire to make a positive impact in the healthcare field as a nursing professional. Her experience as a Student Success Specialist in the HOPE Program likely enables her to help and support other students who face similar challenges.
